Documentary Film Director experienced in cinematography, teaching and talent development.

Master in International Development and Media Studies from Roskilde University, Université Paris VII and University of Durham. Started her career working as a project manager at Danish National TV and later Danish Red Cross. Turned towards artistic expression studying at the Classical Drawing School of Glyptoteket in Copenhagen.

She teaches at the Documentary and TV Department at The National Film School of Denmark (NFSD), The Post Graduate Training at NFSD, Binger Film Institute, Screen Institute Beirut and various venues in Denmark and internationally.

Mik-Meyer has worked in the Middle East and Southern Africa and is experienced in filming alone in complicated areas as Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and Madagascar.

She has directed and photographed the political documentary The Arab Initiative (2008) and What We See (2006).

She is in postproduction with Back to Madagascar (2016), a feature-length documentary on the President of Madagascar, ousted by a military coup, with clues pointing to neo-colonial powers.
